No se conocen muchos grupos surgidos del estado de Nuevo México, pero Beirut surgieron de allí, aunque su popularidad creció gracias a los conciertos que ofrecieron en Nueva York. En el primer larga duración -’Gulak Orkestar’- de esta formación estadounidense que integra en su indie-pop influencias del folk del este de Europa está incluida esta canción titulada “Postcards from Italy”. Fue su segundo sencillo y también el segundo videoclip que grabaron. La filmación corrió a cargo de Alma Har’e.
